Low/high signal quality

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone can help with a signal quality issue that I've always had but which didn't really bother me too much before.

I have been watching FTA tv for about a year now and so far have had no major problems, until now.

I'm getting good quality signals on all sats from east to west ranging from 70 to 86% but what baffles me is that on a couple of sats that really interest me I get 62% strength on some channels and on others I get 86% on the same satellite - why is that? Do I need a different lnb perhaps?

The system I'm using is a Coolsat platinum 5000 with a 36" motorized dish and the lnb is universal single FSKU-V.

Amazingly enough up to now I've been able to watch these low signal strength channels at 62 to 63% without any problem but lately it hasn't been possible.

I would appreciate some input on this :-)

Thank you,
Manuel

not all of the transponders on a sat puts out the same power so some transponders you will get a lower signal. it is best to peak your dish on the lower power transponders that way you get the best signal across the sat.
