Oval Dish and my System compatible with Motor Units

Will an Oval shape Dish work with either the Digipower SG2100 motor or
SM3D22 motor setup? And my Viewsat Platinum and DiSEqC 2.0 that came with it?

Mostly what we use are oval dishes. The FortecStar 80cm and 90cm ( and probably the other, I'd have to check the specs ) are oval. Perhaps you mean elliptical, like an old DTV Phase III dish ? At any rate, certainly a motor will turn the dish, as long as it doesn't weigh too much. Whether you get a quality signal depends upon the lnbf's being used , the signal gathering gain of the dish ( let's say equivalent size to a standard oval , 90cm , 1.2 meter, etc ), and whether you are aimed correctly. I have seen motorized Dish500 setups, but it seems pretty strange to me, when a motorized 90 cm dish , aimed directly at the bird, will give you much better signal quality.

If you have a picture of the elliptial dish you intend to use, post it here. Most likely it will NOT work with the SG2100 or SM3D22 because of the pole bracker diameter on the back of the dish and the way the motor shafts fit in that bracket.

If the diameter of the pole bracket on the back of the dish is 2 1/8" I would recommend the HH100 or HH120.
