Good Afternoon

My question is. I would like to get as much Spanish networks as I can, I was told to buy a motorize satellite and then I come here and I see there is more then one to chose from .
What would you sujest for me to buy as a package,I see

M-1
Motorized CLASSIC Blind Search Choice Set

and

M-2Motorized Mercury II Blind Search Choice Set

Also

C-1 FTA-Classic C-Band Choice Set

I notice this is a really big dish I would like a smaller dish. What would you suggest. Thanks
I would also like to pickup in person.

Welcome!

The difference between the M-1 and M-2 is the receiver. The Mercury II receiver is the more advanced and capable receiver of the two. SO, if you don't mind spending a few dollars more, I would go with M-2.

What else would you like to know?

Would I be able to pick up all of the free channels listed in the web site, and how easy to set up.Would the receiver controls the movement of the dish or would I have to buy a different box for that. My hats goes out to sadoun you have a great website and lots of information. I would like to know if I come down to pick the unit up in person can someone help me explain how to setup and where to aim it at , as you can see I'm not to good at this but I heard from others is a piece of cake. Thanks

I would go with the M2 system and upgrade the dish to a 90 cm the extra signal you get is worth the price difference.

As someone who initially bought a system specifically for Spanish language television I recommend a Universal lnbf, receiver with USALS and multilanguage OSD which includes Spanish, the SG2100 motor & a 90cm dish.

The Mercury II has the features described above and has excellent picture quality. I personally lean towards the Platinum for ease of setup but the picture quality is not as good as the Mercury II along with not much available in the way of support. The CI feature is useless in the US at this time.

Many Spanish language channels are available on C Band which will require a much larger dish. For a system as described above you should expect about 50 - 55 channels of television depending on how much of the arc you can see from your location.
