Problems with configuring Samsung DSB-4700F for Telstar 5

Follks, I ordered the DSR 3700 and to my dsmay recieved a DSB-4700 from 110120volt.com They said this is the new model and the other one is no longer available. Well thats fine, but Telstar 5 is not even on the list. I could not find anyway to enter a new satellite setting either.

Can anyone help please?

Thank you Mailman.

mailman it may be listed as IA5 ( Intelsat5) or galaxy 25. as these are the most recent names for T5.

OK thanks, I will give it a try. I was looking for anything that was 97degrees West. I looked at ever entry, but none of them had similar settings. Symbol rates were all off, etc.

Can I enter custom settings and modify each field?

I have a Samsung box. Its not bad but gets the job done.

Its under Telstar5KU...its like the 2nd or 3rd satellite when you scroll.

To edit a transponder, go to the manual scan option and either type over it for the info but here is something to remember. If you override an existing transponder in there, after you enter it, press the green button to save it (I dont have it hooked up right now but its either the red or green button)

also, to see what button does what, press the blue button and a pop up menu will show up.
