It could be something wrong with your new receiver's DisEqC 1.2
I had a Neusat SP6000 that I used with a Gbox V3000 and it worked fine. I then upgraded (?) to a Viewsat 9000HD and now the Gbox display flashes when the Viewsat is not locked on a signal and it doesn't otherwise allow me to reposition the dish if there is no signal lock which is not terribly useful. I can use the Gbox remote but it negates the value of having DiSEqc in the receiver. So has anyone else used this combination and is there some setting I have missed which will remedy the problem? I have pretty much tried every setting on the Viewsat with no difference.
I have also noticed that a signal strength meter connected at my dish, "chirps" every few seconds when there is no signal lock. The needle goes to zero and back probably at the same rate that the Gbox flashes though I haven't specically timed it. The Viewsat seems to otherwise work fine.
As an aside, I very much preferred the way the Neusat worked from a human interface point of view. The signal meter on the Viewsat pales in comparison and I find myself hunting a lot more to find the right buttons to press on the Viewsat remote. I sure expected the Viewsat to be a whole lot better given the cost.![]()

Have you ever specifically tried the Viewsat 9000HD with the Gbox V3000 or know anyone who has?
