I'm only getting White Springs on Galaxy10!

Hey why am I only getting one lousy station on Galaxy 10R, It actually says Galaxy10 KU. I think that is the same one. Anyway I am only getting a station called White Springs. Only one frequency works 12104. Not sure about all this yet. It is one transponder I think. All the other transponders there was nothing and this is the only one with 73%. Do you think it is a bad LNB? Not giving me the transponders? Or the skew on the LNB that I know nothing about? I had a bad transponder on a Directv and only half the stations worked. So let me know what do you think the problem is. Has anyone out there only got one station? To tell you the truth I feel this is light through the tunnel with this FTA system. Months ago I bought the dish and lnb from Sadoun but I never got it going. I took back the pc sat card since I though that was bad. But maybe all along it was this LNB. I took off the motor I bought for now just to try to at least dial it in on one satellite and learn a little before going with the motor. I read that and I took the advice and I am glad I did. Ok let me know why I am only getting White Springs on Galaxy10. Thanks, MoneyMotel in Northern California

g-10r

Your dish is pointing at Galaxy 27 at 129 degrees. Check the channel list from Sadoun site FTA channel list.

as Jim stated you are on the wrong satellite. remember your receiver don't know where it's at untill you get it aligned and tell it what sat it is on.

You dish is aimed at Galaxy 27 (129W). You will need to turn the dish to the East around 6 degrees. Theu you will be on Galaxy 10R (123W).

Since you are getting WSTV, then your Dish and LNBF are good. It is a matter of realignment.

Make sure you use a live transponder on G10R when you re-aim your dish.

Best of luck

Oh ok so I am on the wrong satellite. That is odd since my reciever says it is Galaxy10 KU. Odd Echo Star 5 is on 129 degrees too. Not sure how that works. Different frequencies or something. That is great to find this out. I thought for sure my LNB was bad. I hope I can find Galaxy10R tomorrow. I will be like a child on Christmas morning with all those networks from the east coast. I am lucky now to have waivers for some east coast feeds but I don't have Fox yet. After I familiarize myself with how FTA works. The functionality of the recievers and all the settings I will attempt to use my motor I bought. But for now I will just be happy with Galaxy10R to tell you the truth. I will probably buy a second dish for experimenting with for the motor. I don't want to mess up my programming that I will have with putting that motor on and all that. Ok let me know if you can about why this reciever is saying that this satellite is Galaxy10 KU instead of Galaxy27. Thanks for all your responses

oh ok I read a post in reply again to me. The reciever doesn't know what it is on? I guess I thought it was more sophisticated and somehow realizes what feed it is from. To tell you the truth just getting one station was good for me. Just to see something from this FTA system. Last year or maybe it was two years by now ago when I bought the Sadoun system it was a horror story. I tried putting a pole in the ground with cement. That never panned out. The pc card never gave me a picture. I never found one signal though I heard a few beeps from my sat finder. So maybe that card was bad. All I know is I gave up and finally after many months thought I would invest more money in this by buying a 5ft tripod, a magnetic protractor, new compass, and a set top box reciever. To invest more in this after the bad time I had took a leap of faith since it could have been to no avail like last time. It was a gamble but now I see the light through the tunnel. With any luck tomorrow I will find Galaxy10R 6 degrees to my left. I hope there isn't a lot of Satellites that will be distracting me. I wonder if 10R will be faint and hard to find. May the Satellite Gods shine on me tomorrow lol.

How do I make sure I am on a live transponder first? Just curious. Thanks

Oh ok, so I found an active tp on LyngSat then I just turn that one on the setup. I guess I got lucky somehow finding that other Satellite. Are you saying if you don't have it on an active tp in the Antenna Setup screen you won't hear a beep outside with your Satellite Finder? If my questions are lame please feel free not to answer lol.

The satellite finder works independently from the receiver (except for the power). The signal meter will try to pull you to the strongest signal available. You should use the active TP and the TV screen in conjunction with the meter to get a positive ID of the satellite signal.

We all know what he is watching. This is the wrong board for this guy to be posting on. He has not read the rules around here regarding talk of HACKING!
