Please help, not receiving H transponder
I just bought a stationary system yesterday from Sadoun and have installed everything today. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I am not receiving any of the horizontal transponders. Only the vertical. In order to get anything I had to skew the LNB all the way to the left and I am receiving an average of 70. I can get CCTV, CCTV 4, CCTV 9, CCTV F, CCTV E and MAC. I could care less about those. I live in North Canton, OH. What could be causing this? I was checking all the transponder and none of the horizontal read anything.
Thanks

One common cause is running your cable through a splitter. Another cause is a bad connector.

I have the Classic NA receiver and the 31" Satellite. I purchased the S-1 system from Sadoun. The standard LNB. I am trying to view Galaxy 25 at 97w. I had an old DTV system that I simply swapped the new dish and mount for. All the existing cable is still there and was professionally installed. There is a grounding block which the signal passes through. I followed their instructions of the LNB skew. However, that was not sufficient to receive any signal. I had to twist the LNB around enough so where the coax is almost sticking straight up. This is when the signal immediately increased. Everything was assembled correctly and soundly. I have a good view of the SW sky. I am located in North Canton, OH.

the problem is you are not on 97 west as the channels you are receiving is on G3 at 95 west you need to move your dish a little to the east.

OK, I have it set in the menu for IA5 (Galaxy 25). How is that possible? This would make sense since in the menu none of the channels that are supposed to be there aren't. Back to the drawing board......

a lot of sats use the same TP numbers just use LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite to make sure you are getting the channels for the sat you are looking for.

I am even more confused now. I went into the menu in the receiver and selected G3 at 95w and nothing. I am watching the CCTV channels, I see the cute Asian girls. So I am not sure what to do now, this makes things a lot harder.

Ok, for example I want to receive TV Romania International. Lyngsat says its on TP 12 11936 H. What would the SR be? How could I with the Classic NA set it to only see that transponder when I am adjusting to make sure I am looking at the right satellite? Thanks for your help...

check this link it will show you the SR also note that channels for FTA change transponder from time to time so you may not find them where you think they are also on this page tan colored is free and the pink colored is scrambled.also anything in small print is radio only.
Galaxy 25 at 97.0°W - LyngSat

Thank you for your help. I went out and gave it a little kick to the west, still nothing was on the signal meter for the receiver. So I did a full power scan and it found all the TP's for Galaxy 25. I am getting about 70%. My wife can now watch her Romanian channel, she's happy so I am happy. Thanks....
