I've decided not to run (use) the Ku-band LNB side of my BUD
satellite dish with my Fortec Star
Mercury II for FTA. For now I'll just have the
C-band LNB for my DSR922 and the FTA receiver. Later I will install the 36" Fortec 90m dish and motor for my Ku-band satellite system.
I'm ready to set-up the Fortec Mercury receiver, a #PV23-402 Hi Feq 2 way splitter, and a #DS21 2 way
DiSEqC switch. I'm running a RG-6 direct from the C-band LNB to the #PV23-402 splitter, from the splitter, a RG-6 direct to the DSR922 unit.
Question: Due to the fact I'm not using the Ku-LNB, do I need the DiSEqC switch? Just run the RG-6 direct from the splitter to the Fortec Mercury receiver?
