Primestar IS Quad Polar!

I had a thread at satelliteguys asking if this odd looking lnb that I had was cicrcular since it had L and R markings. Today I looked inside it. I took a part a non-wroking primestar lnb before that and there was a chip marked 10750, I knew this was linear. The odd one I took apart also has a chipset for 11250, the frequency for circular. So I am wondering if this is worth anything fue to the fact it's quad polar
?

Interesting. Are you sure it's a Primestar? Primestar was definately linear. I thought they were pretty much gone before there was much circular up there except the 101 sat. Although now I seem to remember something about DTV buying Primestar out or something at the end. Perhaps they had an LNBF that would pick up both Primestar and DTV to allow the Primestar customers to transition over to DTV or something??? My memory is getting fuzzy. Sounds like an interesting lnbf.

As a member of the Primestar group when they went belly up it was pretty simple...they changed you to Direct. Where I was it was Pegasus (Pegasuck..they had alot of rural areas..they were like a reseller of Direct except they had higher prices. You couldnt get Direct directly from them in those areas) and they changed us to Direct about 2 weeks after they bought out P*...and we switched to Dish about a month later

Primestar never had a Circualr LNB....they had one linear and 2 linear at the end (they moved from 85 to 89W near the end and was going to beam up via both satellites for more channels)
