Question about upgrading to C-Band

Hi,

The "rump"ster chiming in with an inqury or two before I commit to the purchase.

I have the M-1 motorized system, bought it some months ago. Love the TV reception and all the gear.`

The wife and I are thinking about maybe going to "BUD's-ville" and moving on up to C-Band; I'm looking at the motorized package Sadoun advertises.

Well, I guess the question is: I most likely cannot employ the same LNBF; mount; and even receiver, right? That's okay ... I'm just wondering, can I use the coaxial cable(s) I have in place already? I see I may need to augment it with a ribbon cable possibly(?) to run the motor?

That's issue one .. and probably the easier issue to simply answer; The other more challenging thing is: I must also check with the HOA we live in, to see if they'll cut me some slack and permit a 6' dish ... It may be permitted ... I'll check and see before I do anything ... I can maybe convince them that it'll be unobrusive (from the point of view of passer-by, if that helps.

Thanks, everyone!

the cables should work just fine you will need to add a actuator ribbion for the motor. also will need a bsc-621 lnbf and a v box to move the dish the receiver you have should tie right into this setup.

that's good news.

Oh thanks, that's good news ...

I like this receiver and am glad to hear it will work fine with the setup.
