For a motor you are looking around $75-$120 from either a dealer or ebay. Not sure if it will move a primestar, in fact I don't think I've ever heard of someone motorizing one.

yep they have been motorized. but you have to do some modification to lighten them up first I read on another forum of a guy doing this.

They make these rings that bolt onto the motor to give you 2 1/2 inches for the pstar dish.

the bracket is too heavy so unless you get a HH120 you have to lighten the load on the P* dish. Remove the elevation bracket and fabricate something

You probably could, but they will charge you much more to custom make it for you.

How can metal COST so much! It like when you go to the eyeglass place and you spend $150 on shaped nickel wire!

Tim,

I mounted my Primestar 84E to my HH100 motor. Used the original mount - the only minor modification was a $2.00 piece of PVC pipe that I used to shim up the shaft. Works great.

it's not the metal that cost but the equipment to shape the metal they got to pay for their equipment.
