I am a high school Communication Tech. teacher new to the Ku/FTA experience and I sucessfully locked into the T-5 satellite today with a Fortec Star Ku dish, SD240 motor and Pansat receiver. Everything worked great with a strong signal and strength level.
However now I want to go to the Galaxy 10R will the dish go there automatically and adjust for azimuth and elevation? Do I need to rotate the LNB? The angle calculator on
Sadoun's site calculate that I need to rotate 25 degrees but somewhere else it said it is not necessary to do this because the dish rotates as well.
From inside the building, should I be able to tell the reciever to communicate with the dish to go to various satellites? AMC3, Galaxy 10R, T-6, etc?
Thanks for any help you can provide, my students think it it pretty cool stuff.
