thoile is on a distinguished road
reciever setting feature.

classic reciever Na
DG240 motor
90 cm dish
ULN1 0.4db lnbf
universal wall mount

As last post I mentioned about my true south wasn't correct so I took whole thing down and reinstalled at different place with corrected true south. I live in portland, OR, the lattitute and longtitude are 45.48 N and 122.8 W. So I tried to same thing I did last time, adjusting the motor elavation and the dish declation angle, but still no signal. My question are:
Is that right if I set the motor elavation at 45.5? and the declination angle is around 28-30?
on the reciever setting, what are the tp freq value? LNB type? to choose for target on the IA5 ku ( 97w)?
what about the positioner set up? do I need to enter value for latitude and longtitude for this setting?
If my dish facing East, and when I set the positioner in disq1.2 for those latitude and longtitude, will the motor rotate the dish to that position or not? I don't know how this work?
Please answer, I'm still learning to get familiar with this sattlite thing.

you will need to set your positioner settings in your receiver set it to usuals then set your lat and longitude in the usals menu then set up your lnb Lo to universal 9750/1600 22Khz switch to auto then program in your true south sat see lyngsat.com for true south sat should be the same as your longitude. the dish should move very little to reach your south sat then adjust east and west on the pole to you get a lock on the sat. if no lock change your elevation up or down by 1 degree and try east and west again these should be small slow adjustmens also mark your starting position so you can return and to see how far you have moved the dish.
and don't forget to put in your Tp freq and SR value for a active channel see lyngsat for this info.

Note: the 90cm fortec dish has been known to be off by 5 degrees up or down mine had to be set lower then the actual setting.
