Problem with Pansat PM900S Motor
I've been messing with fixed dishes for years and just a couple of days ago decided to try and set up a 90cm dish on a Pansat PM 900S motor,I've discovered this is a whole different monster.
The motor isn't moving like it should,it's only moving about 15 degrees and it acts as if it's stuck and won't go any further.
I'm getting a couple of sats but I'm lost as to what's up with the motor.

Did you try dis-abling the limits?

Assuming that you're using USALS, it sounds like you've given it a "S" latitude, or perhaps you have "E" longitude in for your position and/or the sat's position. (With my receiver, the longitude is entered as E/W, but it may be that some receivers use +/-, in which case North America would normally be "-" I think.
If you are moving it via DiseqC-1.2, then I don't understand, unless you DO live in the southern hemisphere.

check and make sure your longitude is set to west and not east also make sure your latitude is set for north and not south.

I decided to start from scratch, followed instructions, I'm on the arc as I'm getting 11 sats but for some reason the motor won't move past the 121 west location, when I try to go further west it goes back to the east.
Any ideas as to what is wrong?

you maybe hitting the mechanical limits in the motor. what is your longitude because most of these motor will only move 50 to 60 degrees east or west from that point.

well if thats the case and the motor only moves 50 degrees you would only be able to reach 32.1 degrees. it should tell you how far the motor moves in the paper work you got with the motor. also some motors you can reset the mechanical limits don't know about this motor as i don't use it.
