Hispasat, by Luck

I finally got it!!

Ever since I got my MercuryII and my 90 Fortec w/SG2100. I never could get Hispasat!!
Very strange. Even with factory resets and with the new firmware upgrades.

If I was setting on G25 and hit the Hispasat sat, the dish would not move. No matter what bird I was on it would not move to that bird and a few others to the far East! It would just set still and act as if it has moved! I even check for the correct position in the menu to confirm to be correct!

So anybody as far as East Oklahoma should be able to pick up Hispasat on a 36" dish (with a clean line of sight of course).

Now to figure out the other birds... I hit I think it was 45 or 45.5 degree bird and it goes to Echo's 61.5 bird... I don't really know why the far East birds the MercuryII does not want to move for!! I think the furthest that it will move and find (besides Hispasat now) is somewhere around 50 degrees birds. So from around 50 to the far west (don't remember the farest) I have no problem.

The way I got it was to change from USALs to DiSEqC then do a East move untill I came upon a channel which by chance was Hispasat satellite..

you may need to reset your east limits in the usuals menu to get to 30 w.

I reprogram 30. But I haven't had the time to checkout anything nearby.

Question- Do you think it could be the limits that kept the dish from even atempting to move to 30. I would of thought it would have travel to the limit and stop, but maybe the unit is smarter than what I thought (meaning it knew the limit calculations could not be reach so it would not budge to the east, only if I select around 50 degrees than it would budge)?

I will check usuals and see if limits are set. (Later, when I get home)
--But at least I can receive 30--

Did you have to set limits when you first got the MercII to hit 30?
I have not adjusted the limits other than by going to 30 in disq. and setting it for 30 and leaveing it on disq without changing back to usuals for that bird only!

Thanks

if you are just looking to say I have it 30 is a nice addition but if memory serves me it is Spanish language so for English speakers it is only a feather to say I have it
