Well, I think the problem is that the 621-2 doesn't use DiseqC switching, it uses 22KHz instead.

Relative to focal length, that's different for different dishes (not sure what you have), but you can calculate using BJDISCALC2
Enter dish size and dish depth and it will give you the FL.

A 6' might be marginal for C-band, but you should be able to get Ku, provided that you have the receiver set up as a universal with 9750/10600. You'll probably get C band too, because I get it further northeast than you, and my old 10' is so dented and warped that I'm sure it's worse than a good 6' .

EDIT: Forgot to mention. No difference between Up/Down, but the Up is for when dish is aiming south on motorized system. If using an Az/El, then you'd have to rotate to get proper skew.

The process is the same as with the small dishes. I guess my first question would be did you have reception before with this dish and a different lnb or lnbf setup? If not we need to start from scratch and do a new dish install which means lining up on true south at the peak of travel and setting the lnbf to 0. The nose of the lnbf should be flush with the scalar ring. Might be adjusted from there but that will get you signal.

Once you have true south aligned properly you can start to move through the sats.

The BSC 621-2 does use Diseqc switching Bill port 1 is C Band and port 2 is KU Band.as a matter of fact it has the diseqc switch built in.

OOPs.... you're right. I had that backwards, ie it's the 621 that does 22khz. I keep getting the 621 and 621-2 mixed up.
I guess the way to remember is the one that has the universal Ku is the one that can't use 22KHz because it needs that for the LO switching, so it uses DiseqC for C/Ku, and actually that's what I tried to do in my head, but I got confused.

SORRY.

being a stationary mount you will have to skew it to get best signal the arrow may be located anywhere when you get the signal.

Rainman is correct being a stationary mount. Make sure you are hunting for a live tp but if you had an operational dish in the past that you setup you should be able to handle this. I would be hunting for Ku first as it may prove easier to find with that small of a dish. Once you have that peaked in try C. What settings are you using for your lnbf in the receiver?
