Slingbox now working with Fortec star Mercury II FTA Box!!!

I have great news for the owners of the Fortec mercury II and the Slingbox, as many may know, the mercury II rx is one of the unsupported devices by the slingbox and its media player. Well, I am glad to inform that I have created the missing (link) bin file to allow the sling player control the mercury II rx over the internet from your computer at a remote location. All of the remote features are included in this bin. Feel free to get it from my link. http://www.reachthecross.com/concall...n/S2000_PL.bin If you are not familiar with how to insert it in your sling player application, then check Sling Community - The Official Community for the Slingbox, placeshifting, and the expanding Sling Mediaverse., but it is simple, just drop the file in your Svab directory and then run the slingplayer assistant and select other for device choice and type s2000 in the empty box field. it should work as it does on mine. My slingbox is the U.S. version for NSTC, I have not created a Japan/PAL version (I do not plan on doing so). Enjoy and God bless all, NOLO.

Legal: This is a bin file that is not own nor created by any corporation, I was the author, is a product of my own development. I am making this available for free, I do not and will not provide tech support (is not my way of making a living ).

ForTec Star Mercury II Remote Codes

Can you post the source to your SlingBox BIN file. I would like to try to get my Mercury II working wth ORB. ORB is similar to the SlingBox, but is computer based.

Thanks,
Greg Johnson

Lifetime Ultra and Classic NA & DiSEqC

Would it be possible to modify the .bin files in these two receivers to DiSEqC 1.1 or give 8 positions instead of 4?

My Lifetime NA, I can use 13v and 18v for the LNBF in addition to a 13v/18v selection. I think I could use this to add an extra dish for G10R since the best stuff is V.

I'm just looking for a way to get more than 8 LNBF's into my STB's and as they are, I cannot!
