Satellite scan

Hey guy's...............now that I am up and running and it's great.........I have done a power scan on all of the satellites that I can see.....how often do you guy's do a Power Scan or Auto Scan of the satellites after you have them in your receiver...I have a Mercury II. I have heard things change in the satellite world.
Also what is the difference between Power and Auto scan. The manual is a little bit to be desired.............
I have to tell you my compromise with getting this dish. My wife wasn't to keen on the idea, a dish in the yard.....I have my dish on a seven foot pole and the back drop behind it is green vegatation and trees real close. We took a leaf and went to Lowes and matched the color with a green paint. I painted the pole and dish, it blends right in looks great..........she's happy, I'm happy........

Thanks Jim-s

The power scan searchs for new TP freq while the auto scan uses the TP freq already stored in the receiver. best way to power scan is to belong to new finds that way you can see if anythings new and if you need to rescan. most sats i rescan monthly except for G25( IA5) I scan it weekly as it seems to change more fequently.
