Disappearing video on G10

I usually have no problem with G10, all channels come in around 48-52 quality but in the last week, even though I get the same signal quality I am getting no video at times, I have tried jogging the motor but nothing changes, I was all set to take my receiver and a TV outside last night when all the channels came in, this morning they are all gone again, all other sats are OK with good signal and picture. The weather is clear, just hot. Is there something going on with G10 or is this just due to atmospheric conditions. I have also re scanned the satellite but nothing changes.

Need to know more about your specific equipment but with numbers like that I would say you are a bit out of alignment. I have 11720 around 65%-72% consistantly. I do have other receivers and they display differently which is why I stated I need to know more about your equipment.

Is the problem duplicated on other sats? If not I would say it is not lnbf dirfting off into the sunset under hot conditions. If the lnbf it would affect all sats. Arkansas is pretty good about dropping uplink from time to time. I am not at home so I can not check at the moment and say.

I have a Neusat premium and 30" dish with an Invacom Quad and all other satellites have good signal quality. G10 is my farthest W satellite with the exception of IA7 which I get nothing on but a data channel, so both have an angle of 30 and 24 degrees so are low on the horizon. I get a signal of over 50 for all sats before G10 and was always getting a picture on it before last week. IA7 maybe a LOS problem and maybe G10 is falling in that category also as there is some leaf trees down range from me that may be causing a problem.
I can live without either sat but would like to get RTN and WS but I may have to wait till winter.
I get a picture on my receiver if I have a signal quality of 45 or above.

I would guess your alignment is off a tiny bit. Not kidding here maybe as little as 1/4 degree. If you receiver is USALS capable I would start by using USALS for movement. This will give a better idea of alignment. If you are currently using USALS how are your readings on the sat in the east that is roughly the same distance from enter as G10 is to the west? With the receiver and TV at the dish gently push up on the dish and note. Now pull down. Now move out to your furthest east sat and repeat. Are your results opposite? In other words did up increase signal in the west and down increase signal in the east? Or the reverse of that. If so move your entie assembly on the mast in the direction of the up increase just a bit. Remember you are very close now so a tiny bit is a tiny bit If they are the same results work with motor elevation accordingly. Both down lower motor elevation, etc.

Tried the push pull test with no avail, but right now 11800 is coming in clear but 11720 has no picture, maybe later it will have a picture, that the way it's been going.
But thanks for your suggestion, I really appreciate it.

Are you using USALS or DiSEqC to control dish movement?

I am using USALS.
Yesterday morning I was getting 11800 and not 11720, in the afternoon I was getting both and at 6PM I was getting nothing, this morning I am getting nothing.
When the weather cools down I will sit outside with a TV and receiver and fuss and tweak that satellite but for now I have enough to watch as all other sats come in OK.
As I was writing this I was on G10 and a station on 11800 came in, I changed the channel and had nothing I went back to that station and it was gone.
Maybe aliens are interfering with my signal and want me outside by the dish so they can abduct me.
To hell with it, I have enough to deal with that really affect my life without worrying about a few TV channels.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
