I think the simple answer is that probably it ISN'T still moving east. I've seen this before. Lyngsat is probably using Spacetrack KEPs to plot it's position, and for geosync satellites, they only update those maybe once a week, so if you have KEPs for when a sat is moving, then they stop it's motion, but you're still using the KEPs which think it's moving, the calculated position will look like it's still moving until they update the KEPs. I predict that in a few days, it will suddenly jump back to it's actual position.
