Interested in FTA-New

I am interested in getting an FTA motorized system. I am limited as to where I can put a dish. Is there a simple way for me to determine my elevation above trees without hiring a pro. they want $75 for a service call. How can I make an angle finder tool or buy one. Secondly how far or how many degrees does the motorized dish move for side to side, I am limited there too. I hope I can make this work without a roof application, I'm too old to go roof climbing....Ha
Thank-you

First, use a compass, find out where due South is.

Then, a very very rough guestimate for MI is to stand looking directly south where you think your dish might be. Look up at about a 45 degree angle. Thats where the dish will need a clear view to "see".
From there, it angles down to the left (south east) and right (southwest) to about 30 degrees --- like a rainbow in the sky.
