Newbie-question about LNBF

Hi... new to all this but up and running and enjoying..
My question is this--- have 30" dish for KU (works well). Can I add a Dish network DBS single LNBF and use DiSEqC switch to pick up Echo satellite feed on a Coolsat 5000? I'm looking mostly to grab the NASA feed. If so, what settings should be used. Basicly two LNBFs pointed at same dish...
Many thanks for any help..
Dennis

Would be easiest to use the Invacom QPH-031 but it is a standard Ku lnbf so if you are warching anything over the Atlantic you may lose some channels.

What are the freqs on the Invacom QPH-031? Do they go lower then the stock LBN that shipped with my FTA order? My lowest freq is something like 11700, but I want to be down in the 4 digit (4330) range to see network feeds.

I was going to order the QPH-031 and the discuq switch, but figured that I could add on later.

Thanks

The 4-digit range, ie 3700-4200 in the US (and a bit lower over the atlantic) is C-band. This is where you need a bigger dish, and a different feedhorn. The QPH-031 is only Ku band, not C-band. It does the 11700-12200 band, and the 12200-12700 DBS band, but it doesn't do the low ku band, which is down in the 10700-11700 range (not exactly sure of the lower limit here). This low Ku band is used mainly over the atlantic. Universal LNBFs do this low Ku band, but not C-band. There are lnbfs like the BSC lnbfs, that do both C and either standard Ku or universal Ku, but you need a bigger dish for this.
