I was going to order the QPH-031 and the discuq switch, but figured that I could add on later.

The 4-digit range, ie 3700-4200 in the US (and a bit lower over the atlantic) is
C-band. This is where you need a bigger dish, and a different feedhorn. The QPH-031 is only Ku band, not C-band. It does the 11700-12200 band, and the 12200-12700 DBS band, but it doesn't do the low ku band, which is down in the 10700-11700 range (not exactly sure of the lower limit here). This low Ku band is used mainly over the atlantic. Universal LNBFs do this low Ku band, but not C-band. There are lnbfs like the BSC lnbfs, that do both C and either standard Ku or universal Ku, but you need a bigger dish for this.
