And the DN hackers think they are so cool. Those guys took a tp and are uplinking for mass distribution. Guess those far fetched movies about crazies taking over a satellite and using it against the general population may not be that far fetched.

exactly what if the get a hold of one of the millitary sats.

I'm not sure, but I'd guess that military communication satellites do not work by just block shifting a group of frequencies.

As a wild guess, I'd think they'd use some sort of "store-and-forward" approach where the satellite only re-transmits data packets that have been authenticated via some sort of secret key.

Now if the terrorists got ahold of the key, that would be another story!
