AC-3 PBS sound setup for Fortec?

I'm thinking about getting a Fortec receiver go get PBS sound.

PBS requires AC-3 audio and I see that the Fortec receiver has an output connection for this.

What type of stereo amplifier do I need to receive PBS sound along with the Fortec receiver?

Do I need a special wire from the Fortec receiver to go to my amplifier?

Do I need to set any settings on the Fortec receiver to output sound through the AC-3 audio connection so it will output to my amplifier?

The current Fortec Star DVB-786NA receiver does not support AC-3 audio (i.e. PBS stations) at this time. It only supports PCM digital audio output through the S/PDIF conector on the back of the receiver. Future production will incorporate the AC3 into the digital audio output.
