Looking for the smallest possible C/Ku Band dish...

I live in Austin,Texas ( 30.4417N, 97.6811W). I was told I should be fine in using 100-120 cm dish for C/Ku band stallites, due to austin's location. Is this true? If not, what is the samllest C/Ku dish?

Re: Looking for the smallest possible C/Ku Band dish...

A 1 or 1.2m is good for Ku, not C-band. For C-band the minimum size is 1.6m
I am using a 5.3ft solid for PAS9 and only get one xponde locked, NHK with a C/KU lnbf. I will replace the lnbf with a orthomode feedhorn and 2 C-band lnbs to eliminate the polarizing isolation problem.
PAS9 C-band is a speciial case since their are no C-band sats next to it within 5 degrees, therefore an 5.3ft might work in this case.
Good luck
