I bought a Fortec Star Mercury II. I have had nothing but problems with it since I got it. It changes audio PID's on a fly and forces one to re add the channel just to have it happen again. Fortec's tech dept was no help. I followed all there instructions including flashing it to the latest firmware. To all who may be thinking about buying this receiver DON'T It is buggy all your going to do is get alot of grief if you purchase one.
Could you please, tell more about Audio PIDs changed, and what is following, you have no sound, right? Are you sure that PIDs were not changed on station?
Are there any other issues?
While you are scanning for new channels on the same transponder, what happens, are old channels get erased or do they appear as duplicates?
We sold 100s of this receiver, and I never heard about this problem. In fact most users are pretty satisfied and happy with the performance of this high quality receiver.
Can you give more details and examples of the issue you are talking about?
Where did you buy your receiver from?
Have you sent your receiver to Fortec's warranty center in the USA for testing or repair?
