Can,t find a satelite

Hi I'm living in Indianapolis, IN zip 46234.
I have 36" dish, Fortec star lifetime receiver, Stab HH100 motor and DVB 322 dual LNB.

My lartitude is 39.788 and longtitude 86.324. For tilt the LNB is 0 becouse is motor.
I calkulate P - 43.1 azimuth 180 dish elevation 22.9.

What I need to do to find a satelite.
I'm follow the instruction but nothing. Please I need to know azimuth 180 where is? Am I need to point the dish on a south or north?

Re: Can,t find a satelite

Based on the info you provided, your duesouth sat is AMC3 at 87W.

Dish Elvation: P - (60-Lat)
P for your location is 40
= 40-(60-20) = 20 deg

H-H mount elevation = your lat = 40.

Skew is at 0
Make sure the mount indicator is at 0 degree.
Move the dish to AMC3 direction (move the H-H mount clamp attached to the pole).
If you don't know where AMC3 is, check out this link:
http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...Calculator.htm
Don't forget to +/- the magnetic deviation.
If everything set correctly and your dish is aim at right direction, you should get locked signal from AMC3.
Remember, you have to use active xponder on AMC3 to tune the dish.
good luck
Also, check all the settings in your receiver to make sure they are all correct.
