Keying PIDs manually???

I am using a Fortec 786v3, so far I am happy with its performance. But there are fews channels this receiver can't scan in although signal strength and quality show 80 and above. I tried to key in the PIPs manually but the receiver could not save them. Does anyone know how to add channels manually instead of letting the receiver scan them in?
Thanks

You can't do a PID manual entry into this receiver. It is done automatically for you when you do a channel search. Some of the channels you refer to may be FTA but a 4:2:2 signal which will not be available for consumer level receivers.

No, the channels I have problem with are not 4:2:2. They are 4:2:0
I am suprised that this receiver does not allow users keying PIDs manually. I have to slave my Satcruiser 101 to this receiver to get these channels since the Satcruiser allows me to key PIDs manually.
thanks

Enter the info manually on a user defined TP. Save it and immediantely do a manual search on that TP. The receiver will find it and store the new signal as "unknown" or "no name" or something equally cryptic. Rename it and you are in business.
Another user explained it to me on this board. His name escapes me.

I did try that, but the receiver only saved the freq, polarity and SR. Then I forced the receiver to scan this xponder, I still could not get the channel although the signal meter shows 80 for strength and 70 for quality. The channel is not data. I got this channel fine with another receiver, Satcruiser which allows me to add PIDs manually.
Please excuse me for not mentioning the channel name since it is a "newfind" feed.
Thanks

Email me the information and I'll see if I can find it on my 786NA.
