The ULTRA is discontinued and no longer available. The CLASSIC NA is a much better receiver as far as user interface, speed, and features.

In addition to the receiver, you will need a 31" dish, Standard or Universal LNBF. Check our S-1 system.

Thanks for quick reply.

I had the same feeling that it is better to go with the new unit. My concern was if any known problems? and how long has it been out.

I want to minimize the cost and avoid buying the disc antenna if I dont have to. there is already a disc antenna installed on the roof in the house I am renting. but I dont know which one is it. PLease advise.

Thanks again.

We have been selling the CLASSIC NA for over 10 months and there are no problems with the performance and quality of the product.

LNBF is the item that is placed in front of the dish to receive the reflected signal off the dish.

Universal LNBF (10.7-12.75 GHz) has wider frequency coverage than the standard (11.7-12.2 GHz)

30"+ dish is a minimum for free to air channels.

thanks again for prompt reply.

sounds like classic na is the way to go?

how easy is it to set up? While going through the forum, I get the feeling that it is very hard to set up and confiure it.

I wonder if I can do it myself or should I get help from some one ?

Difficulty comes down to following directions and double checking your settings. Finding signal for the very first time can have it's moments of difficulty but once you find it everything is a breeze.

that is correct.

I learned going through this forum that finding the signal is very difficult. some people had spent 2 weeks doing that.

what are the trcks I will need to go through to get the signal. any tools I would need?

Actually in most cases, installation is easy to do.

Here are some step by step instructions:

Or hire a professional installer. Look around, you'll find one around the bay area.
