Antenna setup for Echostar?
Anyone have the antenna setup info (LNB type; Freq; 22kHz on or off; DiSEqC #) for Echo 5 (at 129) Echo 9 (at 121) Echo 7 (at 119) and Echo 6,8 (at 110)?

Do you mind me asking why? I'll give it a benefit of a doubt considering your previous posts, but question like this is in a Fortec Star fourm is very borderline with the forum rules to say the least.

I didn't know
I withdraw my question. I just thought about scanning these birds to see if anything's out there. Excuse my ignorance, but why was my question on the edge?

That's why I gave it a benefit of a doubt I had a feeling you didn't mean anything wrong.
Alot of FTA receivers are used for illegal activities and 99.9% of time when someone posts a question about receiving one of those sats using this receiver (or other FTA receivers) they are trying to do something illegal. And of course it is against the rules of this board.

The antenna setup, like LNB info, is determined by your lnb not the sat you're trying to scan. So if your still using the lnb you've been using on the linear sats, nothing would change. But of course if you are still using your linear lnb, then besides the fact that there is very little FTA, it is difficult to get a lock on channels on all except Echo 9, due to interferrence since, the linear lnb can't separate the L/R polarization. But if you are lucky, you should be able to scan in a couple music channels, and/or NASA TV or something with a linear lnb. I use a 2nd circular lnb (11250 LO) strapped on to the side of my feedhorn when I want to go look for anything fta, however it's very rare anymore that anything will be fta, except for the 2 or 3 channels that are always fta.

Music on 119 but requires a circular LNB.

It is certainly best to use a circular LNB, but you can usually get some signals with a linear LNB. A linear LNB receives a circular signal OK, although you lose about half the signal strength. I've picked up some music channels plus NASA TV with a linear LNB, and just this weekend, I accidently scanned in one of the PROMO channels and several radio stations on one of the NIMIQ sats while searching for some Masters Golf coverage on G11, again with a linear LNB. The thing is, that the linear LNB can't differentiate between the L/R polarized signals, any you'll usually be receiving two signals at once, getting interferrence, however sometimes you'll find a transponder that doesn't have interferrence from the other polarization, and it will come in fine. 95% of the time it will be encrypted, but sometimes you get lucky.

? How big is your dish? You'll probably need about a 30" or larger dish for the linear sats.
? I assume you are connecting to one of the linear ports on your lnbf when trying the other sats, and aiming the dish as described in the Sadoun installation pages?
? When connecting to the linear ports, I think that lnbf is a standard 10.750 LO freq, so you need to set up the receiver for that LO freq.
? When looking for another sat, make sure you are set up on an active transponder. Look in Lyngsat to find a 24/7 transponder, and make sure the receiver is set up with the proper freq/SR values.
