Storing Diseqc settings with LifeTime Receiver - help needed

How do I save the satellites' positions with the LifeTime receiver?

Also, once you found the first satellite location and saved it, what else does one have to do to have the receiver/SG2100 motor combo find the other satellites?

Hi there,

Well for some reason or another I had allot of difficulty setting up what you are proposing. What I did do instead was to make sure your sat dish is set up true south and then enable your USALS and then try pointing to the most east and the the most west sats on your list (that way you can get both sides of the arch) . Once you pointed to at least one of them you should be able to just click on a sat (using the USALS feature) and all the others sats will show up. Thats what I did and it worked like a charm.

do you have SG2100 motor or a HH STAB motor?

SG2100 is not USALS capable, is it?

saving the satellites' positions with the LifeTime

forlife,
I also have a Lifetime but am using the SG2100 in the USALS mode. I have it working BUT......
As soon as l I tell it to go to PAS-9 which is "quite east" for my location, it'll go there then when I try to go back to say, for example, T-5, the positioner gets lost and actually locks up. Pain in the rear! Now if I do not go that far east I don't think that this problem occurs but I could be wrong. No, it is not at the motors limit - by far actually.

Has anyone else had problems with loosing positioner commands? :?:

Dish= 90cm
Positioner= SG2100
Receiver= Lifetime
also Diseqc switch used for BUD - 90cm dish
2nd receiver= Uniden Supra Analog

Problem Solved! (SG2100 w/Lifetime)

O.K., here's where the problem is. I have the Lifetime receiver signal 1st coming from a DiSeqc switch, then lines coming into that from 2 diplexers (with dc pass on one side of them only), and then one input to a BUD and the other diplexer input to the SG2100. The other outputs of the diplexers go to the separate inputs (C + Ku) on the Analog receiver. WHEN THE ANALOG RECEIVER IS "ON" AND I TRY TO COMMAND THE SG2100 THAT IS WHEN THE INFORMATION GETS BAD ON POSITIONING THE SG2100. ops: It sounds like the analog receiver is causing interference with the Sg2100's commands. So.... I just make sure the analog receiver is off when positioning with the SG2100! 8) . Yes, the the diplexers are not reversed on the outputs. Unless..faulty diplexers?!?
