Dish will not travel thru arc

lifetime ultra sat rec ,36" Fortec dish, .4lnb, Stab HH120 rotor. I live on the east coast. The Sadoun calculator says to set dish el to 24.5deg. dish will not travel full arc without feed arm hitting rotor on both sides. Followed instructions on install. any ideas?

Hello. Is your motor's elevation set to your lattitude? is the 24.5 degree elevation for your true south sat, and if so which one is it?

found problem, Like an idiot, I set the Stab HH120 to 24.4deg. I am at 34deg lat and used the calculator online to set the DISH el, not the rotor el. Feel like a real hoser. Now if there was a way to auto scan the birds, I would be set. ED

Nothing to worry about. There are only about 90 things that have to be set and lined up properly. Hard to keep them all straight.

auto-scan, like checking each sat for new activity? that would be cool. I think some of the PC cards can do that.
