Help in Instalation

1- Your location: Orlando
2- Receiver make and model: FORTEC Lifetile
3- Dish size: 90CM
4- LNBF type:
5- Motor if any: SAT Control SM3D12
6- Now to your question:
I installed with the following:
Azimuth = 185
Elevation = 41
In the Motor, I have set the angle = 79 because My longitute is close to that.
Whenever I try to scan for sattelites, I get noithing.

I am all confused.

I need to know if I am doing all ok.

Please help.

set your motor angle to your latitude not longitude. 28.5 degrees on motor.

Thank You. I will adjust the Motor Angle to Latitude.

Here is what I did before.
When setting the Azimuth, I aligned with approximation. I did use the Magnetic needle and pointed it to that direction.

Once I have this setup/aligngment done. What am I supposed to do.

Which satellite should I select in the Installation - Antenna Select/setup?. I assume any satellite should be fine. I will try AMC5 which is 79W or Echo 3 which is 61.5E. Is that the correct procedure and ok to do?

Also a question. As soon as the Dish sees any satellite, will it automatically show the signal? Why I ask this question. Because I do not know or not yet set the proper angle of the hand. Example. From the Wall, I attached the Wall Mount and then the Arm extends from it. There is no numbers in that, hence this is what I assume I need to do. I need to select example 61.5, then pull the Dish up and down untill I see the signal. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance.
