Do you go buy a car even if you don't know how to drive? Installing a motorized dish is much easier than learning how to drive.
It might not be straight forward, but how else did you expect to track to precision something size of the satellite (which are not big at all) more than 22000 miles up in the air.
I think main mistake people make is to assume that it is going to be as easy as putting a dish and pointing it up in the sky. You set your self to a lot of frustration this way.
If you understand in advance that you are working with precision equipment, with not too much room for error, you will approach with a lot more patience.
I would be lying if I said it took me 10 minutes to set it up by myself first time. IT took me 2 days to get it tracking all the satellites, but it was a learning process. Now I can take the whole thing down and set it back up within minutes.
By the way, even though I am a moderator, I am in no way associated with
Sadoun.
I am glad I wasted my money to buy from him and I'll gladly waste it again when I want to upgrade/replace any of my equipment
I will agree that manuals that come with the equipment can leave a lot to be desired and can often confuse more than help.
