The New Fortec LifeTime System

Ok...so I bought a complete system from Sadoun. It took me about an hour to put together the dish, motor and get the cables ready for the dish pointing. It took less than half an hour to get my first signal, then after about another hour the next day, I was able to point to all my sattilites using the USALS feature. So in other words this system was a piece of cake to install. I would recommend it. Sure you have to make sure that you point to true south and that your mast is level to a degree, and that your angles are right but if you work with one person on the ground and another moving the sat then it shouldn't take too long.
So now I am happy, my wife is able to watch many, many chinese channels. I think there are about 10 chinese channels. Great!.

One thing I dont like about the menu system is that I'm only was able to input five favorite channels for quick reference, using the FAV button. I would like to add more channels so if anyone knows how to do this please let me know right away. Thanks.

I would like to thank Sadoun, Bobkat, and my Non Belt Wearing Chinese Class Mate for helping me out with the system. ;-)

Glad you got everything running OK. When I put the motor on my dish it really opened up my eyes to the wealth of free channels out there. I highly recommend installing one of these motors to anyone with a FTA system.

That is great news. CONGRATULATIONS! you have done it. We are proud of you.

Now it is time to enjoy all the FREE channels out there. Everyday you will find new and more channels. The best thing is to start your search with "Auto FTA" search mode. When done, do another search with "Auto ALL" mode. That way all your FTA channels will be listed first, then the scrambled channels. Then you can sort through the scrambled channels to see if any is available on the clear. You could delete the ones that are scrambled and keep the clear ones.

Now regarding the favorite channels, yes you can add more channels. There are 10 favorite lists that you can create with your receiver. You can even rename the favorite list's name. For example you can call one "CHINESE CHANNELS", another "News Channels" and another "SPORTS" and so forth.

To check how to do that, see the owners manual. It is well written and has a lot of good information.
