Need Help on Audio from the Dishnetwork (119)

Please can anyone help to setup audio from the Dishnetwork. I followed the direction as Sadoun shows on his picture using the circular LNB from DTV, switch and also set the LNB to single Low 11250 as well as followed the instruction manual that come with the Fortec Star 6000CI but I still could get any audio. I believe my dish has been setup correctly since I can move from sat to sat and receive good signals.

Audio is available on the Radio Channels. Have you pushed the Radio button on the remote???

Did you setp up your DiSEqC switch correctly (if you have 2 LNBFs conected to the receiver)?

Also, make sure you are on the Echostar 119 location not the 110.

Yes, I did press the TV/Radio button on the remote.
Here is what I have set in my receiver:
Set Antenna 1 for the "A" Side of your DiSEqC switch
DiSEqC = 1 for all sat except 119* W
Set Antenna 2 for the "B" Side of your DiSEqC switch
DiSEqC = 2 for Echostar 4 7 at 119*W
Does it make any different if my circular LNB is a dual LNBs?
Thank you Sadoun.

Dual LNBF doesn't make a difference. Make sure for Antenna 2, your LNBF Type is SINGLE. Click ok on SINGLE and Change the LO freq to 11250. Click on Store.

Go to channel search, select Antenna 2, and do a search again for Echostar 119.

I click ok on SINGLE and I see only one single line of frequency which I had changed to 11250 earlier. I am not seeing the LO freq the HI freq. Under the Wide there is LO and HI. Could this be the software in the receiver? It is Fortec Star 6000CI.

No, LO means Local Oscilator frequency.

For SINGLE (STANDARD) LNBF there is only one LO freq.

For Universal LNBF there are 2 LO Freq. LO low, and LO Hi.

Check your dish alignment. Make sure you are getting strong signal and quality on most transponders.

Also, make sure you ARE indeed aiming at 119. Some transponders are the same between 119 and 110 that may confuse you.

Thanks Sadoun for clarifying the LO. From looking at your example of the LNBFs strapped together, do you have to align the circular LNBF that attached to the Universal LNBF? I think the angle of mine is the problem. As for as the dish alignment goes, I think I got it setup prety good because I can receive from T5, G10R, G3, E1, and some other including the Echostar 4 7 119*W the exact name listed under the sat list.

Yes you have to align it. If you use USALS (DiSEqC 1.3) for the echostar you will not get it or the signal will be weak. Becuase the motor is aligning the main LNBF to the satellite not the one to the side. You will need to use the DiSEqC 1.2 MOVE command to move the dish a little bit to the left or the right until you get a strong signal from the DSS LNBF. Then store the location for that satellite.

:wink:

I just got back in from the backyard trying to get the thing to work and still did not acomplish any thing. Now having read this, I will do what you suggested and let you know what I get out of it. Thank you.
