My receiver is driving me nuts

I am still have some problems, maybe someone can help me out.

Our power went out a month ago. Lost all of the info in the box....not normal to begin with. Now, I am trying to rescan and get all my channels back, but I am getting a lot less channels before. I went in and manually edited the TPs to get whatever I was missing. Well, as I do that, then go to antenna setup to move the dish and do a scan, the info does not stay stored. For example, if I go to AMC5 TPs and enter them, and then do a scan, its fine. But when I adjust the TPs for G10, all of the settings in the antenna setup are gone. I have tried to reset to the factory settings, and I am still having the same problems. Tonight, I started to do a scan on T5, and lo and behold, my dish will not move. Why? Because suddenly I am at a totally different latitude and longitude than what was programmed! Is it me, or the box?

Your help is appreciated.
