When you lost channels, it was probably because those channels you were watching were not pre-set, but rather added on later. My suggestion...go to lyngsat.com and look for the missing channels. You can then add ithem back in using the information from that website.
There is a second possibility, the person you bought the system had it set up to do some illegal things and the reset put you back into compliiance with the law. Be careful!
