i have lifetime ultra and i have a problem with sattelitte finding channel on ia 5 the information intelsat americas 5 at W97 , transponder 14k , downlink frequency 11966.5 , polarization : Horizontal , symbol rate: 22.000 Msymbol, fec 3/4 need help how to add this channel thanx in advance

Have you tuned in other signals, or is this the first one you've tried?
Ie use of the power scan recomended by the other responder is OK if you already have the system working, and have found the satellite, but it is not the best route as a starting point. If you have not yet found the satellite, it is best to set up for a known transponder, such as the one you mention, to help aim the dish. However you can't even do that until you have set up the IA5 satellite in your receiver.
So anyway, the answer to your question depends on what you have done so far, and also depends on what hardware (dish/mount/lnbf) you have.
