English Speaking Channels?

OK, so I finally figured out my installation problems and have my
Lifetime Ultra up and running.

Problem is, every Sat I Power Scan gives me basically the same channels.
AND THEY'RE ALL IN LANGUAGES I DON'T SPEAK

I've run the SatcoDX program on my PC and show 364 channels of English
programming I should receive from my location. I've tried to download
from PC to the Fortec but it doesn't take. ( I seem to recall that the Fortec
Lifetime Ultra is NOT Satco supported.)

Anyway.....what am I doing wrong?

I'm only getting overseas programming, nothing from the USA

point your dish at a different satellite, for example G10R

Well what do you expect? FTA is targeted mostly to non-English speakers and hobbyists looking for feeds. AMC 3 has PBS channels but you need an AC-3 decoder for the audio.

To Nsat: Thank You. Those are the channels I'm trying to pick up to no avail. I thought perhaps I have something improperly set.

To pmb1010: Thank You too. I have an HH120 motor /90cm dish and have Power Scaned 6 or more Sat's, all with the same results. Usually the same channels are picked up from several different Sat's. This seemed odd, I would expect at least different feeds from different Sat's
which is what led me to believe I've overlooked some basic setting.

To Druze Tito: What do I expect? I expect to receive the FTA Channels
that the business who make and sell this equipment claim I can receive!
I expect to receive the Channels that are listed on the link provided by
"Mr. Nsat". I also expect help, not what seems like a smart attitude from
you. If you have no constructive help, save your "what do you expect" for chat rooms. There are those of us who are simply looking for an inexpensive alternative to standard broadcasting, not a hobby or exotic programming. We come here for help, not smart remarks! If all I can receive is non-English programming, then I have been misled by this site and wasted my money.

Make sure your dish is actually rotating. If you are getting the same channels, your dish may not be rotating. Some Chinese channels are duplicate, other than that the channels for the most part are different.

No one may claim that FTA channels are guaranteed to be there all the time. Read the disclaimer on that page. The information is there to show what is available at the time. There is no misleading. You will have to go to www.lyngsat.com and find out what KU-band FTA channels you can get from your location.
