Signal is stron. Keep in mind that you will need a universal LNBF to get this signal (which is the only kind Sadoun sells).

Cubavision

Siempre hasta la victoria....

I am in Atlanta, GA, I use a fortec receiver and a 80cm dish and I have received Cubavision from Pas9 for quite some time. I can also get Cubavision from Hispanisat. In NJ you should be able to receive it from Hispanisat also--really that would be better. Cubavision just started broadcasting Cubavision, TV Rebelde and some radio stations from HIspanisat--things you cant find on PAS 9. ALso, you can pick up a large number of Spanish language stations from Spain, some great Spanish radio stations from Spain and also TV Marti (if you want the American Propaganda w/your Fidel Castro).

Good Luck and tell us how it goes...

Pas9 is about 25 degrees south east from atlanta. Hispasat is at 30 degrees west, so it is about 54 degrees south east from you. You should have a good signal from both of those.

So would I be able to hit Hispasat up here in Columbus? Same Longitude pretty much, just a different latitude. I tried to get Hispasat and had no luck, but if ya know a trick.....

Thanks

No tricks really. You should definately be able to get it. If you can't get t than you are not aiming your dish correctly (or if you have a motorized system, you are not tracking the whole arc correctly) -or you have something blocking a clear view in that direction.

How can I be sure I am tracking the arc completely and correctly? I can get up to G13 at 127, and down to PAS9 at 58 degrees. Does it sound like I have a good range? I have the simple SM3D12 motor. Does that have enough ability to go further in the range, or would an upgrade to a different motor solve the issue?

Sorry....I am a newbie. Thanks!

Your problem might be in your motor. sm3d12 can only track +/-50 degrees east and west. You are at 83 W which means furthest you could see east is about 33W, just a little short of hispasat.

so should I go to a different motor? An HH100? I wanna know, because if I should, I need to do it now while I can still upgrade.

Thanks!

HH100 should be able to get there. I don't have it but according to specs it has +/- 60 degrees rotation which should be good enough.
