Fortec 5600 v2 Receiver

Hello Everyone,

I got a question someone. I have a Fortec 5600 v2 receiver. It is the (European Version). I want to use it here in North America. I have the adapter for AC but I need to connect to my TV. I have tried using the red, white and yellow jumpers hooked up for audio and video with no luck. The male connection on the back as you know is different for tv/vcr. It does come on and seems to be working as far as I can tell. Any advice on a adpter for it or how I get it to work? Thanks for your time and any help. :mozilla_wink:

Can you see the video on your TV? If not, you will need to switch it from PAL to NTSC. Try connecting the receiver to a flat screen computer monitor or LCD display with VIDEO input. That will allow you to see the menu at least. Then switch it to the NTSC mode.

It should wok just fine.

As far as electricity is concerned, I believe that model comes with a built-in switching power supply. It should work on 110-220V without any transformers (verify that on the back panel first). You will only need a plug adapter.
