Re: 4 LNBS
Tan, go to page 9 of the manual. You have to use the "antenna" settings, a example is in there. Select antenna 1 for 1lnb, antenna 2 for the second lnb and so on. Also note that there is another windown for you to enter the osc frequencies and so on.

I went to page 9 and I saw the information, but my problem is that I don't see any menu that says antenna 1 for satellite x antenna 2 for satellite Y and so on .I need to know how do you use the remote to go the lnb's and their satellites.
Thanks a lot for you help.

lnbs
I'll have to look in there again. I will get with you tomorrow on that. I'm still learning the navigation on the 786V3 receiver and I only have one lnk installed, so I didnt have to do any other changes for antenna. In the back of the manual it shows a block diagram of what the menus are or go to. This is all new to me, before I just had Directv for about 3 years, but got into this stuff now. Now I want to get another receiver to receive DVB and Feeds, but its more complicated with those additional CAM cards, etc. So I have stuff to read on and learn before I know what the heck I'm doing. What took the longest, was messing with the mast on a sloped roof, finally went to the muffler shops and had them bend a 2" diameter pipe for me.

All versions have the same menu.
Highlight Antenna 4
Use the Left Volume Down Key on the remote to go to Antenna 3, 2, 1 and so forth.

I think it may not be the switch that is causing the problem.
It could be the receiver. I had BEC DB6600 CI which I used
with a 4*1 switch and it was identifying all the four dishes.
I returned it and got a Fortec Star 6000 and it is behaving strange.
1) When I connect DN 61.5, DN 110, DN 119 and Telstar5 97 to
port A, B, C and D respectively the receiver is able to get only DN satellites.
2) When I change the connection, Telstar5 97, DN 61.5, DN 110
and DN 119 connected to port A, B, C and D respectively I get
only Telstar5, rest all DN's signal strength goes down.
3)When I change the connection, DN 61.5, Telstar5 97, DN 110
and DN 119 connected to port A, B, C and D respectively I get
only all DN's back and now Telstar5 is gone, the signal strength goes down for Telstar5.

Check the Antenna Settings in your receiver.
~ Make sure you confirgure the LNBF type correctly.
~ Also, make sure the LNBF Power is V/H. Don't use 14 or 18V setups.

Sadoun,
This is what I did,
Deleted all the channels from channel edit menu for all
satellites and I changed the antenna setting as below,
Antenna : 1 (61.5) 2 (TelStar5) 3(110) 4(119)
LNBF Type : Single Single Single Single
LNBF Power : V/H V/H V/H V/H
22KHz Tone : Off Off Off Off
DiSEqC : 1 2 3 4
12V : Off Off Off Off
61.5, 110 & 119 has LO set as 11250. Telstar5 has LO set as 10750.
After setting the antenna settings I did a channel search for all the
satellites. Now I am getting the signal (above 80%) only on two transponders (11898 & 12090) on Telstar5 and I have like 12 TV channels
and 3 Radio channels.
Let me know what needs to be done next.
Thanks

I assume now that all your ports are working?
~ What type of LNBF do you have on antenna 2 (Standard or Universal)?
If Standard, then the LO frequency is 10750
If Universal then LO 9750, 10600

Let me clarify, the ports are not working. The only
good signal I am getting is for Telstar5 on transponders
11898 & 12090 and I am getting total only 12 TV channels.
The LNBF for Telstar5 is standard and the LO frequency
is set as 10750.
Thanks

You have to isolate the problem: What do you think causing this problem? :?

I am thinking, as it something to do with the LNBF power.
When I give 14V and 18V antenna settings for DN LNBF's I get
good signals for all the vertical polarised transponder signals
for 14V antenna settings and horizontal polarised transponder
signals for 18V antenna settings. Is the receiver sending any power
to LNBF? If yes, what power does a standard LNBF need?
I think that which ever LNBF is connected to Port A controls the
power to all the LNBF's. For example when I connected Telstar5
to port A it worked all other DN LNBF's didn't work.
Another think I would like to do is change the cable from the switch
to the receiver and see it makes any difference.
What do you think?
Thanks
