remote

is there a upgrade for the remote that came with my lifetime ultra ?
the one i have only works from about 2 feet away and very poor at that i have put in new batterys still same thing

I've read its not the remote, but the receiver's receptor window inside.

Folks have taken the ultra part, and adjusted the infra-red receptor by bending braket or something...

I simply tipped mine up by putting something under the rear of the receiver, the angle is that the face is now pointing more to the ground.
Remote seems to work better that way for me.

We have done a testing on some ULTRA remotes and found out the remotes were defective and not the receiver. This is for a batch of remotes that were shipped in the last 2 months only. Actually the receiver's RC receptor is excellent in the new ULTRA 2005 model.

Fortec has come one with a universal remote that should be able to work with all fortec receivers, I dont know when Sadoun will add it to the website though...
