LNB 12.2 GHz possible ??????

Need desperate help.

I have a problem to get signal with my new fortec ultra.

I have a dish 90 cm ( this is a sky one ) and a dual LNB that states on the sticker 12.2 to 12.7 GHZ I don not know if the frequency is to high or so ( I am new to this) but before I had dish from the states perfectly working so my question is what do I need to do to make it work. I just would like to receive free channels, and do I need different LNBs for each satellite or can I use only one dual LNB. I need to mention that I live in Mexico.

Thank you very much.

If you want to watch FTA then check to make sure the lnb is a linear one. If it a circular lnb then it wont pick up fta satellite signals.

thanks for responding so fast.

My only question here is how do I see if it a linear one or circular.

I have now one cable a 59 one conected to one of the plugs of the LNB ( it has two ) and the other end of the cable goes directly to the receiver. and do I need a other LNB if I would like to see dish?

Does it make any difference to which one the cable is connected ( LNB)

Again thanks for the response.

again, im not sure about your questions until you find out what you got your hands on. What is the model of your LNB and anything that it says on it? Where did you get it from?

well if it says directv then it's not compatible with linear ku band satellites. Buy yourself a universal linear LNB from Sadoun.. And if you want to recieve multiple satellites you need a motor.
