Limits on adding TPs to a satellite?

Hi,
I'm fairly new to my 9800,and I'm probably missing something basic with the user interface, but I am having some trouble adding new TPs to a satellite through the menu.

Sometimes the system will let me add new TPs, and other times it seems to only want to rewrite the last one highlighted. As the Channel Editor is consistently crashing on two different computers on which I've installed it, I can only guess that there's some bad data in my channel data that is probably crashing the program (like maybe those Asian characters on some T5 channels?).

Not being able to use the Channel Editor makes the menu even more necessary. Is there some way always make sure that "add" means "append" to the list of TPs already defined?

Thanks!
Bob

You can add TPs as follows:

Click Menu
Go to Edit
Click on Satellite/Transponder edit
The highlight will be on satellite. Click the right Volume button and it will change to TP
Go to ADD and click OK on it
Enter Transponder name
Click Esc
Enter transponder data
Make sure your store before exiting the Edit menu

Unfortunately, that's what I'm doing, but rather than getting a TP data window that will allow me to add a new one, it just keeps overwriting the existing one.

When I click add, it overwrites whichever one I touched last.
