How can prevent internet sig interfere with satellite signal

I have installed satellite dish, and the signal connect to cable to direct to my room, at same time the cable linked with cable company with high speed interenet. However, when I used satellite splitter, I either cannot receive satellite signal or cannot receive high speed internet signal . So at mean time I can receive satellite only, or receive high speed internet. Any one know how to resovle this problem? thank you

You cannot use a splitter with satellite signals. You must run a dedicated cable directly from the dish to the satellite receiver. Do not use the same cable as your high speed internet and cable TV.

but I bought splitter in Radio Shop, they said it suppose divert cable and satellite signal. If it not work, I may need to change cable high speed internet to DSL.

Did you buy a splitter or a diplexer? They are two different things. If you are using a diplexer then you must use two of them -- one to combine the satellite and cable TV/internet signals and another to separate them at the other end of the cable.
