Those are not FTA sats. They are subscription based and require equipment and subscription from the provider.

First point at your true south SAT. USALS to Galaxy10R and use tp 11719 V 27692 to peak your signal. Only adjust dish elevation and move dish left and right. LNB should be neutral and your latitude should be set permanently on the hh motor scale.

Alright.

If you don't have this transponder on the list then simply manually put it in. Navigate through the pansat interface until you find how to add the tp on G10R. If you can't find how to do it look in the manual.

Once you do this, goto to the main antenna setup, find g10r/ku, select positioner as USALS. Press OK when you select usals to input your latitude and longitude, the press move. The dish will move to g10R, in your case since G10R is very close to your true south, the motor will only move slightly. Hit store, then goto where you select the tps and navigate until you see 11719 V. So now you may or may not have a signal. Go out and adjust your dish/mount very slowly left or right and stop when you see maxium increase in signal or you may be right and and get good signal/quality if your dish elevation was set properly. If still no good signal and quality, the slowly adjust your dish elevation up or down until you get something. And make sure your lnb setting is universal 1. Remember, the closer you nail your dish heading to be 164 compass heading and the closer 24.5 elevation is set on your dish the easier it will be to get the signal.

weird?

got g10r sat but at tp 11951...quality signal goes back and forth 10% to 99%...spoke to installer today by phone and he had told me that t5 should be the one sat to turn when it come to true some for san francisco ...is he correct or not...because i switch over to t5 and there is some signal on most transponders..by using t5 should lnbf type be universal 1?...

G10R should be close to your true south. If your quality is that jumpy, it could mean that you are just a little off. Try moving the whole dish (including the motor) a little left right (and by little I mean if you move 1/4" you are moving to much) and see if your quality changes. Then try to adjust the elevation a little bit up/down.

LNB selection should be Universal 1 and make sure you are using an active transponder. Select 11800 V / 26657 SR transponder. It is 24/7 and fairly strong.

Do you have absolute clear view to the satellite?
When the signal varies, it could be a tree branch moving back & forth blocking the signal. As much as a twig can interfere with reception.

putting the dish in a different location might help... higher doesn't mean better reception, but it might be better in the fact that it would be aiming over any trees or obstructions.

DTV signal is MUCH stronger than ku linear satellites. Thats why you dont have that kind of problem.
