Can Fortecstar receivers read C-band channels?

Hello everyone,
can a FortecStar receiver receive C-Band channels (either analog and/or
digital) as well as it does for Ku-band ones?

Any ideas, recommendations or tips?

Thanks and regards.

It will receive C band DVB signals, like the Outdoor Channel on G10R and WB on G11.

Is that the only C-band signals it will pick up? and doesn't that still require an 8' dish and C-band LNB?

Those are two examples of C band DVB. It does require a C band LNB, and I would presume a large dish, since analog C band requires a big dish. That's why they call it C band. If it used a Ku dish and LNB it would be Ku.

Duh! You will also need a DiSEqC switch.

C-BAND RECEIVING

MEL, you would most likely need a bid dish (BUD) like 6' or larger and
a C-BAND LNB. Even though the receivers that Sadoun has are for both C ANDKU BANDS, the antenna dishes are mainly for KU-BAND that they sell. There are a few that are for C-BAND that they have. Just go to the antenna products sections on the site to get more info on that. C-band frequencies are much lower and have a longer wavelength so the regular 3ft dishes wont pick up the signals.
