First of all tell us your intentions. What channels do you want to receive? The most ku Free to air channels are on Telstar 5. Do you want to receive that one?

If that Telstar 5 receives the most channels then that would be great. That is not one of the satellites listed in the antenna setup.
Thanks for your quick reply.

Nevermind the name changed from Telstar 5 to Intelsat Americas 5. It might say IA-5 in the receiver. Your coordinates are 41.5 N, 93.6W

For IA-5 your Elevation of the dish should be set at 42 degrees. The azimuth of your dish (left - right axis) should be at 180 degrees. Use your compass. Thats right on south. Finally the skew of your LNB should be almost at neutral.

Also, what size dish do you have? You mention dual lnb which has me thinking that you maybe have a small Directv or Dish network dish.

To recieve IA5 you need a universal or standard LNB and at least 30" dish.

Yes.. most KU satellites like IA-5 have LINEAR polarity transponders which cannot be picked up from Dishnet, Directv type dish because they have Circular polarity. Get yurself a Fortec 80cm dish and universal ku lnb and youll be up and running.
